This article provides answers to frequently asked questions about the new Authorize.net 2.0 Merchant Interface, including feature changes, navigation, and key differences from the classic 1.0 interface.
 
What's new in Authorize.net 2.0 compared to 1.0?
Authorize.net 2.0 features a redesigned, task-oriented dashboard with smart search, quick filters, an AI Assistant, and customizable workspaces.
 
When will I get access to the toggle?
Access to the 2.0 interface and toggle feature will roll out gradually. Most merchants will receive access between June and August 2025.
 
How do I toggle between 1.0 and 2.0 interfaces?
Use the toggle in the top banner to switch between the classic (1.0) and new (2.0) interfaces.
 
 
When will the toggle go away?
The toggle will be discontinued in the coming months. You will be notified in advance before its removal and when 2.0 becomes the only option.
 
Where is the “Test Mode” toggle in 2.0? How do I enable or disable test mode?
In 2.0, “Test Mode” is now called Processing Mode. To access or change this setting:
  • Select Account > Account and API Settings or Security Settings.
  • Find Transaction Processing Mode to view or change its status.

How do I find and change the time zone and batch/transaction cut-off time?
  • Time Zone: Go to Account > Account and API Settings > General Settings > Time Zone.
  • Cut-Off Time: Go to Account > Account and API Settings > Transaction Settings > Transaction Cut-Off Time.

How do I find unsettled transactions in 2.0?
  1. Sign in to the Merchant Interface.
  2. Switch to the New Merchant Interface (2.0).
  3. Select Payments in the left navigation.
  4. Select Manage Transactions.
  5. Select Unsettled under Quick Filters or use Filter on the right, set Batch State to Unsettled, then select Apply Filter.

Where did the Virtual Terminal go?
The Virtual Terminal is now called Accept Payment with an improved user interface and features. Access it via Payments > Accept Payment.
 
 
Why is email now required in customer profiles?
Email is now required to support enhanced fraud detection, customer communication, and integration with services like invoicing and receipt delivery.
 
How do I download reports in 2.0 and convert TXT to Excel? Where can I find and download transactions or settlement reports?

Settlement Reports and download options are being improved. For now:

  1. Go to Payments > Manage Transactions.
  2. Search for the desired transactions.
  3. Select Download and choose your preferred format.

How do I search for a transaction by invoice number or customer name?
Use the updated Smart Search bar to enter invoice numbers, customer names, or other identifiers. You can also use the Filter option on the right side of Manage Transactions.
 
 
How do I view batch totals in my reports?
Batch totals are available in the Settlement Reports section. Select the batch date to view totals and individual transaction details.
 
 
What functions are not in 2.0 yet?
The following features are not yet available in 2.0. Toggle back to 1.0 to access them:
  • eCheck Reports (NOC, Chargebacks) & Statements
  • Create ARB (Automated Recurring Billing) subscription from a previous transaction
  • Additional transaction details
  • Retail Account Support
  • Batch/File Upload (Single Transactions)
  • Subscription Upload (ARB File Upload)
  • Hosted Payment Form Settings
  • Silent Post Settings (Webhooks are recommended as Silent Post will be removed)
  • Relay/Receipt Page Settings
What will not be in 2.0?
The following features will be discontinued in 2.0:
  • Direct Response Setting (continue via API for Advanced Integration Method)

  • Transaction Version Setting
  • Verified Merchant Seal (disable and remove the seal code from your site)
  • Virtual Terminal - Recurring Flag Value
  • Accounting Services Page (use Commerce Sync instead)
