How to Identify Your Browser Version

Knowing your browser version can be important for troubleshooting web-related issues, or when you need to ensure your browser is up-to-date for security reasons. Here's how to find out what browser version you're using.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Select the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. Hover over "Help" in the drop-down menu.
  4. Select "About Google Chrome". Your Chrome version number will be displayed on the new page that opens.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Select the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. Click on "Help" in the drop-down menu.
  4. Select "About Firefox". Your Firefox version number will be displayed in the new window that opens.

Safari

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Click on "Safari" in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
  3. Select "About Safari". Your Safari version number will be displayed in the new window that opens.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. Select "Settings".
  4. Scroll down and select "About Microsoft Edge". Your Edge version number will be displayed on the new page that opens.

Note: Not all browsers are listed here. If you're using a different browser, the steps are likely similar. Look for an "About" or "Help" option in your browser's menu.

Caution: Always ensure your browser is up-to-date to protect against security vulnerabilities and to ensure the best performance.
