Understanding Unqualified Fees

Authorize.net does not have control over additional fees that your Merchant Service Provider (MSP) may charge for any of their services. If you have questions regarding fees on your merchant account, please contact your MSP.

Authorize.net's Role

Authorize.net provides the secure gateway for the credit card information and authorization information to pass over the Internet from your website to the payment processor for your account. This is similar to a "virtual credit card swipe machine." Please note that some of the information that MSPs require is never seen by Authorize.net. Our system cannot check to verify if a credit card is a personal or business card or if the card issuing bank is foreign or domestic.
