Your Merchant Service Provider (MSP) acts as your financial institution. They handle the deposit of funds into your bank account and manage your merchant account with Visa and Mastercard, etc. The MSP also charges a percentage discount rate on your batch settlements and may impose transaction processing limits on your account.

Role of Authorize.net

Authorize.net is a payment gateway and does not have visibility into your Merchant Service Provider information. To find your MSP's details, please refer to your merchant statement, which should include their contact information.

Reasons to Contact Your MSP

  • Inquiring about deposits for credit card settlement and break down of those deposits.
  • Inquiring about held fund or holding period for credit card settlement and funding.
  • Releasing holds on account or funding holds for credit card settlement. 
  • Changing funding or processing limits for credit card transactions.
  • Updating bank account and deposit information for credit card transactions.
  • Updating business name that appears on customers credit card statements.
