This article will guide merchants through understanding how to download and export Customer Information Manager (CIM) customer data from their Authorize.net account.

Downloading Customer Profiles in Customer Information Manager (CIM)

You can download your customer profiles (masked PAN data) from Customer Information Manager (CIM) at any time by following these steps:
  1. Sign in to the Merchant Interface.
  2. Be on or switched into the New Merchant Interface (2.0)
  3. Click Customers in left navigation.
  4. Click Manage Customers.
  5. Enter any relevant search and filter criteria. For all customer profiles, leave the search empty.
  6. Click Download To File. A pop-up confirmation window appears.
  7. Click Download.
For security reasons, your customer profiles do not include payment profile data, such as credit card numbers.
The file downloaded will be a .tsv (Tab Separated Values) as the data is tab delimited.

Exporting Full PAN Data from CIM

Account owners will need to reach out to Authorize.net Customer Support to request the start of the export review and process for their account.

Viewing in Excel

  • Open Excel.
  • Click Open. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to open files.
  • Change the file type all and select the CIM Profile download, and click Open.
  • In the excel wizard select Delimited File and click Next.
  • Choose Tab delimiter and click Finish.
