Image 1 - AFDS Declined Transaction

To review an AFDS declined transaction, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Search from the main toolbar.
  3. Under Search for a Transaction, select All Settled or Unsettled and enter any search criteria such as date range of the transaction, Transaction ID, last four digits of card number, etc.
  4. Click Search at the bottom of the page.
  5. In the search results, click the Transaction ID of the transaction you wish to review.
  6. At the top of the screen, you will see the Transaction Status and the reason why it was declined.
  7. Because it was an AFDS decline, you will see the Fraud Information section, including the Fraud Filter and Fraud Action.


 

Image 2 - How to Access the API Login ID and Transaction Key

To generate the API Login ID and Transaction Key for your gateway account, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Account from the main toolbar.
  3. Click Settings from the menu on the left.
  4. Click API Login ID and Transaction Key in the Security Settings section.
  5. Here you will see your current API login ID and dates relating to the last time you generated your secure keys. 
  6. Click radial buttons next to "New Transaction Key" or "New Signature Key"
  7. If you have previously generated either of these keys, you will see the option to "Disable Old Transaction/Signature Key Immediately". If you do not select this option, then the previous keys will remain active for an additional 24 hours. Once that time period expires, only the new keys will be valid.
  8. Click the submit button and request a verification PIN. Once you receive the PIN to the email associated with your profile, you will be prompted to verify that PIN. 
  9. At this point you will be presented with your new keys. **Make sure to store these securely as you will not be able to find these anywhere in the interface as these are considered "secure".**

 

 

Image 3 - Address Verification Service (AVS) Decline

To review an AVS declined transaction, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Search from the main toolbar.
  3. Under Search for a Transaction, select All Settled or Unsettled and enter any search criteria such as date range of the transaction, Transaction ID, last four digits of card number, etc.
  4. Click Search at the bottom of the page.
  5. In the search results, click the Transaction ID of the transaction you wish to review.
  6. At the top of the screen, you will see the Transaction Status and the reason why it was declined.
  7. Because it was an AVS decline, please review the Address Verification Status under the Authorization Information section. This will tell you what filter and the action that was taken by the fraud service. 

 

 

 

Image 4 - Card Code Verification (CVV) Decline

To review a Transaction that was declined due to the Card Code, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Search from the main toolbar.
  3. Under Search for a Transaction, select All Settled or Unsettled and enter any search criteria such as date range of the transaction, Transaction ID, last four digits of card number, etc.
  4. Click Search at the bottom of the page.
  5. In the search results, click the Transaction ID of the transaction you wish to review.
  6. At the top of the screen, you will see the Transaction Status and the reason why it was declined.
  7. Because it was a Card Code decline, please review the Card Code Status under the Authorization Information section.

To view your Authorize.Net Payment Gateway Fee Schedule:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Account from the main toolbar.
  3. Click Merchant Profile from the menu on the left.
  4. Under the Payment Methods section, click Fees on the right-hand side.

To view your Authorize.Net Merchant Profile, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Account from the main toolbar.
  3. Click Merchant Profile from the menu on the left.

To access the Virtual Terminal, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Tools from the main toolbar.
  3. Click Virtual Terminal from the menu on the left.

To customize the Settings for your Virtual Terminal, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Merchant Interface.
  2. Click Tools from the main toolbar.
  3. Click Virtual Terminal from the menu on the left.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Virtual Terminal Settings.
  5. This allows you to add/delete specific fields you would like included with the transaction details. This also gives you the ability to mark your desired fields "Required" to fit your business needs.
