How do I reset a user's account password?

Answer

To reset a user's password:
  1. Log into your Merchant Interface at https://account.authorize.net/.
  2. Click User Administration in the main left side menu.
  3. Select the radio button next to the name of the user whose password you need to reset.
  4. Click Reset User Password on the User Administration page toolbar.
  5. Click OK to continue.
  6. Make note of the Temporary Password.
Note: The Temporary Password is not automatically sent to the user. You are responsible for advising the user of the Temporary Password in a secure manner. At the next login, the user will be required to change the Temporary Password.
  1. Click Continue.
Note: Account Contacts cannot access the Merchant Interface and therefore do not have a password.
